Special Occasion Cakes
At the Dutch Epicure Bakery, we can bake and decorate any style or flavor cake you desire. Our 8″ cake serves 12 people. Most customers prefer our 8″ cakes but any size cake can be made with your taste in mind.
|Basilic – Three layers of chocolate sponge cake with a thin layer of raspberry puree and chocolate mousse filling. Iced with chocolate buttercream and garnished with chocolate trumpets and raspberry puree dots.||Chocolate Mousse Charlotte – A single layer of chocolate sponge cake filled with dark chocolate mousse surrounded by ladyfingers and generously garnished with whipped cream and chocolate curls.|
|Gianduja Gateaux – Three layers of chocolate sponge cake filled with a light, milk chocolate hazelnut mousse and surrounded by a thin layer of Jaconde.||Sabayon – Three layers of chocolate sponge cake filled with a marsala flavored chocolate mousse. Iced in whipped cream and garnished with chocolate curls.|
|Truffle Cake – Three layers of chocolate sponge cake are filled with chocolate mousse, iced with chocolate buttercream, glazed with ganache and garnished with hand rolled chocolate truffles.||German Chocolate Cake – Three layers of chocolate sponge filled with sweet filling laced with coconut and pecans, iced with chocolate buttercream on the sides and topped with coconut pecan filling.|
|Grand Marnier – This super light vanilla sponge is filled with Grand Marnier whipped cream and iced with Grand Marnier buttercream.||Lemon Raspberry – Three layers of vanilla sponge cake with a thin layer of seedless raspberry puree and lemon curd with whipped cream filling. Iced with white buttercream and garnished with lemon slices and raspberry jam.|
|Mango Lime Charlotte – A refreshing mousse is made from pureed mangoes and fresh lime juice and placed on top of light vanilla sponge cake surrounded by ladyfingers and garnished with thin slices of mango.||Mocha Ganache – Vanilla sponge cake is filled with coffee flavored buttercream, glazed with rich ganache and garnished with a chocolate covered espresso bean.|
|Occasion Cake – Your choice of either our vanilla sponge cake or chocolate sponge cake with a thin layer of raspberry jam, filled with whipped cream and iced with vanilla buttercream.||Boston Cream Pie – Three layers of vanilla sponge cake filled with vanilla custard, iced with whipped cream and topped with rich ganache.|

|Passion Fruit Charlotte – Two layers of vanilla sponge cake filled with a tart, fruit mousse, surrounded by ladyfingers and topped with white chocolate curls.||Strawberries and Cream – Three layers of vanilla sponge cake filled with fresh sliced strawberries and whipped cream, iced with vanilla buttercream and garnished with glazed strawberries.|
|Berry Charlotte – Two layers of vanilla sponge cake, filled with lemon mousse, surrounded by ladyfingers and topped with fresh strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and blueberries.||Pina Colada – Three layers of light sponge are filled and iced with rum, whipped cream and pineapple, covered with toasted coconut and garnished with sun dried pineapple. Satisfying all the taste buds.|
|Raspberry Rainbow Cake – Slices of brightly colored frangipane surround three layers of vanilla sponge cake filled with raspberry mouse and topped with a thin layer of raspberry puree.|
FRUIT TARTS (9″ Tart serves 12 people) :
|Apple Apricot or Pear Almond Tart – This tart is made from pie dough with pure almond cream and fresh apples, apricots or pears.||Apple Strudel – We use paper-thin strudel dough, brush it with butter and fill it with fresh apples, raisins and nuts. Then we roll it and bake it in a 16″ long strip.|
|Fresh Fruit Tart – A beautiful tart filled with pastry cream topped off with a bountiful assortment of glazed fresh fruits.||Lemon Curd Tart– A crust of short dough baked to a golden brown and filled with a layer of vanilla sponge cake and a fresh lemon curd filling.|
|Linzer Torte – This classic torte is made with a short dough, flavored with cinnamon and almond flour filled with a seedless raspberry jam, garnished with sliced almonds and baked to a golden brown.|
